Yanxiao Liu(刘延骁)
About me ([CV])I am joining Imperial College London as a postdoctoral research associate, advised by Professor Deniz Gündüz under the project 'Machine Learning and Information Theory’. I received my Ph.D. degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, advised by Professor Cheuk Ting Li and Professor Raymond W. Yeung. I have been a visiting researcher in Stanford University, ISL Lab, from January 2024 to June 2024, hosted by Professor Ayfer Özgür and supported by CUHK PhD IMPAC Award 2023–24. I received my B.Eng. degree in Electronic Information Engineering and minor degree in Philosophy from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen) in 2021, advised by Professor Shenghao Yang. ResearchMy research interests lie in information theory and applications. I currently work on the following directons (also see my [Publication Page]): Information Theory:I provide nonasymptotic coding schemes and information-theoretic analyses on various network information theory problems. See my papers about [Noisy Network Coding], [Watermarking], [Oblivious Relaying], [Weighted Parity-Check Codes] and [Soft Polar Codes]. Compression, Privacy and Distributed Learning:I develop information-theoretic compression techniques and apply them on distributed machine learning, security and privacy problems. See my papers about [Compression of DP Mechanisms], [Information Bottleneck] and [Watermarking]. Wireless Communications:I develop fundamental theory and low-complexity algorithms for large-scale networks in next-generation mobile networks. See my papers about [Multiflow Optimization], [Noisy Network Coding], [Oblivious Relaying], [Massive Random Access] and Wireless Scheduling [a], [b], [c]. Awards
